How this TOEIC score converter works

This converter uses the same Listening and Reading raw-score conversion table as our full TOEIC mock tests. Enter how many questions you answered correctly in each section, out of 100, and it estimates your scaled score on the official 10 to 990 scale. Listening and Reading are each scored from 5 to 495, so your total score is always a multiple of 5, and a full 200-question test can never score below 10 or above 990.

This is an estimated score, not an official TOEIC certificate. Your real score depends on sitting the actual exam under proctored conditions at a registered test center. Use this tool to quickly gauge your current level after practice, or to set a realistic target before your next full test.

Why raw score and scaled score aren't the same number

The raw-score-to-scaled-score conversion is not a simple multiplication. Each test form is statistically equated for difficulty, so the same number of correct answers can map to slightly different scaled scores across different test versions. That is why the conversion works off a lookup table instead of one fixed formula, and why two people with the same raw score on different test dates could end up with slightly different scaled scores.

Listening and Reading also do not follow identical curves. Listening scores rise faster in the low range, so even a handful of correct answers already earns a meaningful score, while Reading rises more gradually and needs more correct answers to reach the same scaled score. This mirrors how the two sections are typically calibrated for difficulty.

If your estimated score is below your target, focus on accuracy first, especially in Part 5 and Part 7, which carry the most questions in the Reading section.
